iPod 720p HD Camera allows us to take pictures at 720p resolution with iPod Touch and iPad 2

iPod Touch 4G and iPad 2 are equipped with front and rear cameras, cameras that unfortunately take photos/videos at a quality not too close to that offered by the iPhone 4/4S cameras. Even so, Apple allows us to record video in 720p format with them, but the pictures are taken at a slightly lower resolution. iPod 720p HD Camera is an application from Cydia that gives us the opportunity to take photos in 720p format at a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels using the main camera of the iPod Touch 4G and iPad 2. The quality of the photos will not be improved, but the photos themselves will be able be viewed at a higher resolution on our screens, which Apple does not allow for various reasons.

iPod 720p HD Camera is a camera app based on Apple's AVCam sample. It enables iPod touch with camera to take photos with 1280×960 resolution.

Other features includes:

-takes picture while recording video

- switch camera (front camera resolution: 640×480)

Notice: this app only tested on iPod touch with camera.

- instruction:

touch anywhere on the preview or the "Photo" button to take a photo. The photo will save to photo album as original Photo app.

iPod 720p HD Camera is developed based on the native iOS Camera application and in addition to increasing the resolution with which pictures are recorded, it also adds the possibility of taking pictures while recording video clips. The application was recently updated and is available for free in Cydia in the BigBoss repo.
