Do you have iOS 3.1.3? You can no longer install applications directly from the iOS App Store!

iOS 3.xa was released in mid-2009 by the Apple company and two years later it seems that it has become completely useless for owners of iPhone or iPod Touch terminals. Many iPhone 3G owners chose to stay with iOS 3.1.3 installed because it was the best and fastest version of iOS for their own device, but in the same situation are iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 2G or even 3G owners. Well now Apple is forcing them to either update to iOS 4.x or change their terminal because a change made in the App Store the other day made it impossible for users with iOS 3.1.3 or lower to download applications from the App Store from iOS.

The problem has been reported by many users, it is certainly known by Apple, but I don't think it will be solved. Apple has a habit of "convincing" users that the latest versions of iOS are the best, and here we have a very good example of this. The changes made in the App Store are not auspicious, according to me already explained here, but for the owners of old terminals it is time for an upgrade, maybe even to the recently released iPhone 4S. In conclusion, if you have iOS 3.1.3 or lower, you will have to use iTunes to install applications on your iDevice.
