A new iPhone catches fire, this time it belongs to a firefighter

Last month we told you that two iPhone terminals exploded in various corners of the world, but this month we learn about a new incident that this time involved the iPhone of a firefighter. It is of course about an iPhone 4 terminal which it set on fire while it was charging, connected to a Mac and apparently the battery was to blame for the incident. A local newspaper claims that the iPhone caught fire while it was charging, was thrown down where it set fire to a carpet and then was thrown on the window so it probably had a pretty big flame.

On Friday one of East Brandywine's Fire Fighters experienced a close call with an Apple iPhone. While charging the phone using the Apple provided computer connection, the phone spontaneously caught fire. After the phone fell to the floor igniting the carpet, the phone was thrown out of a nearby window. Despite the phone being relatively small it produced a large volume of smoke and a noxious smell.

This is the third incident in just two months and things are starting to get serious for the Apple company because we are talking about a premium product that catches fire while it is being charged. Also last month, Apple started replacing iPods because of some batteries that caught fire when they were being charged, and the same problem could be encountered with the iPhone 4. There is a possibility that certain batches of terminals have problems with the batteries, but of course, Apple will not recognize them and will not solve them too quickly, but be very careful with your own terminals.
