The Apple TV from Apple was designed to display multimedia content and nothing more, but with the help of the jailbreak it seems that we can transform the device into a real iDevice. Steve Troughton-Smith along with another application developer managed to run iOS applications on the Apple TV 2G, even more on the same screen. The idea itself is extremely interesting and will certainly delight some users, but I think that many, many more people would have been delighted by the idea of running 2 applications on the same screen but on the iPad tablet.
In the whole world there are several hundred thousand or maybe even a million owners of Apple TVs and I for one believe that all the efforts of such people should be directed towards the development of tweaks for iDevices.
