iProjection allows us to project images from an iDevice using an Epson projector

Epson announced last evening the launch of a named application in the App Store iProjection which allows iDevice owners to project images from their own terminal using a company projector. The application allows the projection of images only if our iDevice is in the same network as the projector and in terms of supported files the list is quite long. We can project any kind of images, movies or even open documents on our iDevices because theoretically anything that appears on the iDevice can be projected on a flat surface using an Epson projector.

ORLANDO, Fla., Jan. 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — (FETC, Booth #2317) – Epson, the number-one selling projector brand worldwide(1), today introduced iProjection – its first projection app for wirelessly displaying documents and photos to Epson projectors, allowing mobile professionals and educators the freedom to present content wirelessly with ease. Available for free in the App StoreSM, iProjection enables wireless projection from most iOS Apple devices running iOS 4.2 or later, including the iPad®, iPhone® and iPod touch®. iProjection is also cloud-ready, supporting cloud file services such as Dropbox or various email applications.

Although the iProjections application is free, the Epson company sells compatible projectors at prices of several hundred dollars each, so we are talking about a rather large investment for such a product. Quite a few projector models are compatible with the application available in the App Store, but those interested can find out more information on Epson website.
