Apple asks developers to publish Retina Display screenshots for App Store apps, could make iPhone 3GS forgotten

This evening the Apple company published the message above in the portal dedicated to application developers for the iOS platform. It specifies that all application developers must only publish screenshots for resolutions compatible with the Retina screen of the iPhone 4/4S and iPod Touch 4G when updating applications from the App Store. Apple does not force developers to do this immediately, but when an update for an application is published in the App Store, that update must contain only new screenshots taken to highlight how the application will look when used with a Retina Display.

Unfortunately, the message above could be the first signal that should make us understand that the iPhone 3GS is no longer a priority for the Apple company and that the device could have the same fate as the iPhone 3G for which iOS 4.3 no longer worked. The iPhone 3GS does not perform brilliantly on iOS 5 and Apple knows this, but I think the above measure should have been taken a long time ago.
