Today the Apple company published several Carrier Bundles for mobile phone operators from France, Sweden, Greece, Finland and Japan and in them it is specified that on March 9 iOS 5.1 would be launched in iTunes. The image above should prove the fact that mobile phone operators would launch a Carrier Bundle update on March 9, when iOS 5.1 should become public. That carrier bundle will be version 12.1, higher than 11.1 which is currently available to everyone.
If iOS 5.1 will be released on March 9, then it is extremely possible that the tablet will be available on the same date because we are talking about a Friday when Apple usually releases the new iPad tablets or iPhone terminals. Judging by the way things unfolded last year when the iPad 2 was presented on March 2nd and launched on the 11th, I think that this year the iPad 3 will be presented on February 28/29 and the launch could take place on the 9th March. For now, this is the only concrete information regarding the possible release date of iPad 3 and iOS 5.1.
iOS 5.1 would be compatible with iPhone 3GS/4/4S, iPod Touch 3G/4G, iPad 1/2 according to these Carrier Bundles.
