OpenURL NCWidget is a new tweak released last night in Cydia that allows iDevice owners to use a Notifications Center widget to use the iOS URL system or perform Google searches. In practice, we can write words like sms:// or maps:// to open the Messages or Maps applications, but this functionality makes it difficult to use iOS. On the other hand, the Google search function allows us to enter a word and press return to open Safari with an automatic search for that word using the Google search engine.
Want to google something fast, anywhere on the iOS system? or want to open an app like Messages or App store? just enter an apps URL Scheme to open that app, or if its regular text it will Google search it!
OpenURL NCWidget is available for $0.99 in Cydia's ModMyi repo.
