Three times more applications are published in the App Store than in the Android Market

At the moment, the App Store has approximately 150.000 more applications than the Android Market and the daily rate of publication of new applications is three times higher than in the Google store. The information comes from Flurry, a service specialized in counting the "movements" made by developers in App Stores, and it seems that more and more developers are attracted by Apple. Although it is announced that the Android Market will surpass the App Store in terms of the number of available applications, this is still very, very far from reality, although things are completely different in terms of market share.

Fresh data released on Tuesday suggests that the number of new apps entering the Apple App Store outpace those from the competing Google Market three to one, with developers leaning towards iOS partly because of Android's platform fragmentation.

Although the App Store has several applications and daily several applications are published in it, the problem is that many of them are completely useless or are made to deceive users. Apple can boast of the largest application store, but in terms of their quality, I don't think there is a big difference between it and Android Market.
