The Messages application contains Retina graphics for Macs

Yesterday Apple officially launched the Messages application for Mac OS X that allows us to have conversations with our friends using the iMessage platform available on iOS. Less than a day after the publication of the application it was discovered that inside its files there are Retina graphics for Macs. Although the images included in the Messages application are built in a different way than those in Mac OS X Lion, they at one time had the specific name of special applications for Retina Displays.

More than a year has passed since the first rumors appeared regarding the possible launch of a Mac equipped with Retina Display, but for now Apple has not confirmed/denied the possible launch of such products. Sources from within Apple's partner factories have repeatedly confirmed that such devices are being tested in Cupertino, but no one knows when they might be available for purchase.
