Messages for OS X will not work on Mac OS X Lion after the beta period expires

You were happy to see that Apple has finally launched a Messages app which allows us to send messages via iMessage from Mac to iDevices? If so, then I recommend you not to get used to it because Apple inted to offer it only to all those who purchase the new OS X Mountain Lion that is to be released this summer. Inside the code designed by Apple for this application, the message below was discovered urging users to buy the new OS X Mountain Lion in order to continue using the application.

Thank you for participating in the Messages Beta program. With the inclusion of Messages in OS X Mountain Lion, the Messages Beta program has ended.

To continue using Messages, please visit the Mac App Store and purchase OS X Mountain Lion.

Unfortunately, this kind of moves are typical for the Apple company that "forces" users to buy the newest software/hardware in order to benefit from really useful functions.
