Although on the weekend i0n1c recommended to everyone to download an application from the App Store that would contain a jailbreak exploit for iOS 5.1, so the hacker does not give up and tries to discover new methods to develop a jailbreak solution for the new version of the operating system. Unfortunately, his latest discovery turned out to be unusable, but the interest in looking for exploits makes it clear that we will have a jailbreak solution for iOS 5.1. Besides i0n1c there is also Dev Team which had an unused exploit for iOS 5.0.1 and which it hopes to implement in the new iOS 5.1.
For now, all iDevices can be jailbroken on iOS 5.0.1 and only iPad 2/iPhone 4S can be jailbroken on iOS 5.0. More information you have here.
