Mobile World Congress 2012 – the conference in which Apple does not participate but which it influences

Between February 27 and March 1, Mobile World Congress 2012 will take place, an international conference in which a large number of mobile terminal manufacturers will participate. The king of the show will be Android because extremely many mobile phones and tablets with this operating system will be presented then and many people are waiting to see the first smartphones with quad-core processors from HTC, LG or Sony Ericsson. Samsung will not present the Galaxy S III at MWC 2012, but will do so a little later because it will organize a special conference for its unveiling.

What is not said about MWC 2012, just as it was not said about CES 2012 too much, is that most of the terminal manufacturers thought their devices to compete with the iPhone 4S and the iPad 2 tablet. Every mobile terminal out there was designed having in mind the best-selling smartphone and the best-selling tablet globally, and this will be seen in everything that the manufacturers will present. At the moment, no Android terminal manufacturer can come close to the iPhone 4S with any distinct product, but after MWC 2012 I think we will have some smartphones that will arouse the interest of many.

The "stars" of MWC 2012 are of course the smartphones with quad-core processors that should bring exceptional performance at affordable prices and should be better than everything Apple has to offer. It's hard to say if there will be any manufacturer that will offer something like this, but I for one am very interested to see which mobile terminals will be presented starting from Monday because there might be an iPhone killer among them.
