- Belkin "SmartCover" for iPad 3
Belkin is one of the largest manufacturers of accessories in the world and recently the company sent to its partners a series of cases for the iPad 3 tablet. The case shown below was received by an accessory distributor in China and it is compared to the current case of the iPad 2 tablet. Both cases are identical, both have all the cuts made exactly likewise, both fit the iPad 2 tablet, so the name on the packaging in which they were sent could only introduce the idea that those products will be there after the iPad 3 launch.
We saw a case with a label that says 'For iPad 3' and it has been confirmed by the Belkin staff. The case is specially brought from Hong Kong. We tried to fit the iPad 2 in the case, and the result is that the iPad 2 is fully compatible with the case. Does this mean that the third generation has no changes in design?

Moreover, inside the case supposed to be for the iPad 3, a code was discovered that indicates that the case was made for the iPad 2. Unfortunately, the manufacturers of accessories for iDevices have no idea about the products on which Apple would launch and in connection with this he convinced us last summer when a representative of Belkin admitted that his company makes accessories for new products without knowing for sure if they will have the design for which they are made the casings/covers.
In conclusion, I say that everything is just a marketing move.
