Apple doesn't allow FaceTime calls over 4G, bad news for everyone

FaceTime is one of the most popular video chat services in the world, but unfortunately Apple only allows its use via a Wi-Fi network. Everyone hopes that iOS 5 will remove this limitation, but unfortunately Apple does not seem willing to give it up and the mobile phone operators could be partly to blame because they initially opposed the removal of the limitation in order not to congest the networks. Now the iPad tablet has 4G LTE connectivity and is capable of reaching speeds of up to 72 Mbps, but unfortunately Apple I still refuse to allow it users to use FaceTime without a Wi-Fi network although the tablet is capable of reaching speeds as high as or maybe even higher than those offered via Wi-Fi.

The bad part is that if we cannot use FaceTime even when we have 4G, then the chances of this limitation being removed are extremely small. The good part is that by jailbreaking and installing some tweaks from Cydia such as My3G, FaceBreak or 3G Unrestrictor you can remove the limitation.
