AirServer promises to make AirPlay Mirroring faster than Apple TV (Video)

One of the most useful features of iOS is the ability to cast the screen of an iDevice onto that of a television using an Apple TV. This function allows us not only to surf the Internet, watch videos or photos, but also to play games or use applications, enjoying the full resolution of the iPad 3 tablet on a screen capable of displaying it properly. Normally, the Apple TV is used for AirPlay Mirroring, but you can see in the video clip above that it is not really that fast in terms of recording user commands.

If the Apple TV can't, then the AirServer application for Mac can, and you'll notice that it takes the commands much, much faster. Moreover, the application processes the video feed transmitted by the tablet and the final result is represented by images that are much clearer and closer to those displayed on the Retina Display of the new iPad tablet. AirServer can display images at a maximum resolution of 2560×1440 at 70 fps, but to properly process the images you need a fairly powerful Mac, otherwise you risk making a discount in terms of fps.

AirServer is available for $15 here.
