Apple will change the functionality of the volume button with which we take pictures

In iOS 5 Apple implemented the option to take pictures using a button that normally controls the volume of our iDevices. After implementing this option directly in iOS, many developers thought that it would be good to implement a similar option in their own applications and in the App Store quite a few titles appeared that had it included. Although Apple gave utility to the volume button, it seems that in a future iOS update this utility will be forgotten because the company from Cupertino intends to remove the function from its operating system, but no one knows when.

"Apple called and told [them] that they were asking all app developers using the volume button this way to remove the functionality because it was going to break in a future iOS update." MacAskill goes on to explain that Apple has not confirmed whether it will provide an approved method for using the volume button as a shutter control, and notes that he"expect[s] more apps to start removing their volume button support in the future as a result.

Yet Apple requires them application developers to remove this functionality from their own titles and we can expect that in the near future we will no longer be able to use that button to take pictures. The decision of those from Apple is more than strange considering that many users were happy to see that they have a physical button that they can use to take pictures/videos, but Apple seems to have other things in mind. What do you think about Apple's intentions, do you use the physical button to take pictures/record videos with your iDevices? Will you miss him?
