AT&T and the blow given to unlock solutions

Last night I told you that AT&T will start decoding iPhone terminals as of tomorrow, but these decodings apply only to the terminals for which the contractual period has ended. In practice, AT&T will not decode any iPhone that is still under contract, so we are not talking about a decision that will affect extremely many users, but it is a start that could lead to offering decoding for a fee to all subscribers. Ultrasn0w was developed because AT&T does not decode iPhone terminals, but since this will be accessible to some subscribers, I think that ultrasn0w will be quickly forgotten.

The Dev Team is already starting to make it clear that ultrasn0w is no longer a priority for them, and this in the conditions where we have decoding cards available from various Asian manufacturers. If the USA does not need unlocking, it is unlikely that the Dev Team will concentrate its forces on such a thing, considering that the development of an unlocking solution is becoming more and more problematic. I am of the opinion that you should not expect to see a soft unlock solution for the iPhone in the future unless geohot returns to "his first love" and be aware that the only method to decode an iPhone will be a card decoding.
