Today Orange Romania announced the launch in the App Store of the official UEFA EURO 2012™ application for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad, an application developed in collaboration with UEFA. UEFA EURO 2012™ has been available for more than a week in the Apple store and, as the name suggests, we are talking about the official application of UEFA Euro 2012 which will take place in two months and will be hosted by Ukraine and Poland. Orange is only one of the main sponsors of the UEFA Euro 2012 tournament, in which, unfortunately, Romania is not participating, and the application for iDevices is only part of what the operator offers to users.
Available on eight mobile platforms including iOS, Android, Windows Phone, BlackBerry, Bada and Java – the free app offers the latest team and championship news, live text commentary, video interviews, as well as highlights, stats and notifications personalized premium for a fee, which allow fans to find out the latest information about their favorite teams. For the first time, fans will be able to feed information from a EURO app via Facebook and Twitter to share tournament news and information with friends and family.

"We have added social networking and geolocation features for the first time in a EURO application, so football fans in Europe will be able to get the most out of the EURO 2012TM experience both at home and in the championship.
Although the application itself will keep you connected to everything that happens at UEFA EURO 2012, Orange can help you get there and watch some of the matches that will take place. On site Orange Supporter's Cup the operator offers 22 tickets for fans plus accommodation and VIP transport and on the website you have the rules for participating in the promotion. I don't know how much you like football, but I'm signing up for the Orange contest and with their help, maybe in the summer I'll greet you from one of the cities where the matches will be hosted.
