CyDialer allows you to call your friends directly from the LockScreen (Video)

CyDialer is a tweak available in Cydia for some time, but its main function is to allow us to call our favorite contacts much faster. The tweak adds a coverflow in the LockScreen (similar to the one in the Music application) through which we can quickly call close people. All we have to do is add phone numbers to the Favorites section of the Phone application, and they will be automatically displayed in the LockScreen and by simply pressing on their tile we call them.

CyDialer isn't really anything "new": others have made similar extensions, both for the iPhone and other devices. What sets CyDialer apart, however, is its attention to detail and quality. The interface has been designed to blend smoothly into the existing lock screen experience with calculated usage of fade effects and animated transitions. For users of the built-in keypad lock feature, CyDialer integrates with the mechanism one would expect, sliding the interface in and out seamlessly. Careful attention has been made to issues of "pocket calling": tapping a contact does not immediately initiate a call until the user "slides to call"

Because the CyDialer tweak is so useful, last evening it was updated and is now compatible with any version of iOS between iOS 2.2 and iOS 5.1. The tweak is available in Cydia for $1.74 and will certainly ease the process of calling on iPhone terminals. Unfortunately, CyDialer doesn't work with FaceTime calls either, so you're limited to voice calls only.
