iPad 2 2012 offers up to 2 hours more battery life than iPad 2 2011

This week I presented you with a test made by those from Macworld, a test that focused on the iPad 2 2012 tablet from the Apple company. This version of the iPad 2 was launched together with the iPad 3 and brings a processor built using 32nm technology, and this seems to bring an improvement in battery life, according to those from Anandtech. If you look at the graph above, you will notice that in their tests the iPad 2 2012 obtained a battery autonomy of 1.6 hours better than the one recorded for the iPad 2 2011, but that's not all.

The difference is quite big, but the tests from Anandtech do not match those made by Macworld and in the image above you have the test made the other day. Basically, those from Macworld say that the iPad 2 2012 offers only 15 more minutes of use compared to the iPad 2 2011 and the difference between the two results is very large. If you look at the rest of the tests below, you will notice that the difference in autonomy between the two tablets can exceed 2 hours in certain cases, but also that the new device consumes less energy than the one released last year. Practically, the processor made using the 32nm technology uses more efficiently the energy it has at its disposal, and this is where the difference comes from in terms of battery autonomy.

Although there are visible differences in terms of autonomy, the good part is that there are no important differences in terms of performance, so if you bought iPad 2 2012 you will only have more time to play or surf the Internet.
