Here are the iDevices that are compatible with the untethered jailbreak solution for iOS 5.1.1

  IERI (Yesterday) Pod2G made some important announcements for those who are waiting for the untethered jailbreak solution for iOS 5.1.1 and some may be disappointed by what the hacker is about to release. Although there are already enough iDevices compatible with the untethered jailbreak solution for iOS 5.1.1, unfortunately iPod Touch 3G and, probably, iPhone 3GS are incompatible with it. Pod2G is currently working on a method to make these terminals compatible with the future jailbreak solution, but for now we don't know if it will succeed.

  With this in mind, I decided to write this article and list the terminals that are or are not compatible with the untethered jailbreak solution for iOS 5.1.1, so I recommend you bookmark it until the solution is released.

  Compatible terminals:

  • iPhone 3GS
  • iPhone 4;
  • iPhone 4S;
  • iPod Touch 3G
  • iPod Touch 4G
  • iPad 1;
  • iPad 2 Wi-Fi;
  • iPad 3 Wi-Fi;

  Incompatible terminals:

  • Apple TV 3.

UPDATE: As you have already noticed, only the Wi-Fi Only versions of the iPad 2/3 have been tested and can be jailbroken on iOS 5.1.1. If a device is not in any of the two lists, then it has not been tested and it is not known if it can be jailbroken on this version of iOS. In the following days, I will constantly update the list as news appears.
