ScanBox promises to turn your iPhone into a portable scanner (Video)

From the kickstarter world I have for you today the project of a portable scanner called ScanBox which allows users to turn their iPhone terminals into portable scanners. Basically, I'm talking about a foldable box that allows you to place your phone at an appreciable distance from your documents and take a picture of them using the Camera application. The "technology" used in this project is as simple as possible and in just a few days its developers have already raised half of the money needed to produce Scanbox.

Scanbox is an easy to use, affordable and unbelievably portable scanning box that uses your smartphone's camera to take amazing high quality scans. It's easy to set up and packs down flat to easily fit into your bag or brief case. Scanbox was born from the idea that we need to use document scanners every so often, but traditional desktop scanners are far too big, expensive and cumbersome for their occasional usefulness. They take up desk space, require you to install drivers/updates and need a power source to operate. Scanbox on the other hand can be set up and packed down in seconds.

ScanBox is compatible with almost any kind of mobile terminals and practically everything you see there you can do too if you find a box that offers the exact distance to the documents you put in it. If the project will be financed, a product would cost around $15-25, but would you pay money for something like that?
