Yesterday Pod2G  he informed us that the untethered jailbreak solution for iOS 5.1.1 is going to be released in the following days and here we are in the meantime we found out its name and we have a video clip in which its functionality is demonstrated. Absinthe 2.0 will be the name of the solution, Pod2G preferring to keep the original name of an extremely effective jailbreak solution. Judging by the images in the clip, it seems that Absinthe 2.0 will no longer require the use of the VPN function, it seems that the process will be as easy as in the case of version 1.0 and there is a possibility that all iDevices will be compatible with she.

There is a chance that Absinthe 2.0 will appear first in a version compatible with Macs and only then we will have the version available for Windows, which happened in January. The entire untethered jailbreak solution will also arrive in redsn0w, but for now no one knows when. In conclusion, these days we will have the Absinthe jailbreak solution available, it remains only to wait for its release.

UPDATE: The video clip was deleted by the person who uploaded it.

  1. If the launch is tomorrow, it's perfect. The fact is that I have no more patience... I'm at work and I feel like going home to wait for Zaone's post on the jailbreak... Let's jailbreak! 🙂

  2. Hi all!
I have a question! if I have a back-up of the Cydia applications, after the new jailbreak 5.1.1 can I restore them, without having to install them all? does it add my sources automatically? is there an application in cydia that can do this?
    thanks in advance !!!!

  4. Hello Zaone, and everyone else,
Does anyone know how to pay apple to decode your phone from their servers, i.e. to be neverlocked?
    Thanks
