sn0wbreeze 2.9.5 fixes iPhone 3GS iPad baseband GPS issues, is compatible with iOS 5.1.1 build 9B208

Saturday morning Apple has released iOS 5.1.1 build 9B208 for iPhone 4 GSM and Absinthe 2.0 and sn0wbreeze 2.9.4 they could not exploit it because they did not have the necessary payloads. Well today Absinthe 2.0.2 has been officially released, it exploits the new build of iOS 5.1.1 for iPhone 4 and thanks to the changes made by Chronic Dev Team sn0wbreeze it is also compatible. iH8sn0w took care to update his program and now you can use it with this tutorial to exploit any version of iOS for iPhone 4.

The second part of the changelog for sn0wbreeze 2.9.5 mentions solving GPS problems for iPhone 3GS owners who have iPad baseband installed. I am talking about the 06.15.00 baseband of the iPad 1 which was used to decode the iPhone 3G/3GS terminals, but which destroyed the GPS function. iH8sn0w seems to have found a method to solve the problem, I can't confirm that it works for sure, but you can try the new version of sn0wbreeze to solve the problem.

sn0wbreeze 2.9.5 can be downloaded available hereand jailbreak tutorial can be found here.

UPDATE: Although in iOS the GPS function is activated from the Location Services menu, it seems that iH8sn0w does not refer to it in the changelog for this version of sn0wbreeze, so you will not solve the GPS problem of iPhone 3GS terminals with iPad baseband.
