Orange.ro is changing for you

If you have accessed the website Orange.ro in the last few days, then you must have been greeted by a banner announcing that something is being prepared for you. That "something" is a new interface of the main page of Orange.ro, the page that was completely redone by the operator with the idea of offering users a much more pleasant browsing experience, but also useful information at a click away. Basically, Orange did not completely change the interface of the entire website, but only modernized the first page, offering us some interesting functions, which probably should have been there for a very long time.

Basically, Orange analyzed the way users navigate the website and decided that users should have information from its most accessed areas on the main page: the online store, my account and the mobile version: m.orange.ro. In this idea, the people from Orange have divided the main page into Macro-zones, 3 of them being fundamentally changed, and below I will talk about each one separately.

Macro area 1

The new Orange.ro vs the old Orange.ro

The changes started right below the header, where instead of the old news slider we now have a new construction that, instead of only displaying Orange news, displays personalized information for users. More precisely, if you log in with an account created on Orange.ro, you will have information about your subscription displayed directly on the first page, unpaid invoices, chronos, you will have recommendations for subscriptions/mobile phones displayed and at the end you will have a section of the online store that it gives you information about the orders placed, about the value of Thank You points and finally links to tutorials available in the Orange Help section.

In essence, even when accessing the website, you have quick access to the my account section, probably the most important for those who want to quickly find out information about their subscription/card. The information taken from the account is used to generate recommendations and to direct you to the right offers in the online store, so you can be sure that you don't miss any offer that you would have liked to take advantage of.

Macro area 2

Moving on to macro-zone two, we have a section completely taken over from the mobile version of Orange.ro, and in it you will find the most important news from various fields. This macro-area is divided into several categories: today, news, sports, music and gadgets, each of the categories displaying news taken from several websites in Romania. In practice, Orange is trying to offer you an area on its own website where you can quickly find the most useful news from around the world, and this while you are looking for an offer for a mobile phone or a subscription. Although everything started with 5 sections now, in the future those from Orange plan to include others, at least as interesting.

Macro area 3

At the end, there is the section with special offers and news in which you have listed the latest offers of the Orange online store, the latest news of the company and of course a list of recommended subscriptions and options. If you don't find something that interests you in the main slider, you will surely find it in this section, but through it you can also find out about the news that Orange constantly communicates.

Having said that, Orange.ro transforms from the website of a mobile phone operator into a portal where you can find not only information about your subscription and offers for mobile phones/subscriptions, but also useful information about the world in which you live. Making a comparison with the websites of competing operators, I could say that Orange offers a much more attractive website with much more useful information, with easier access to sections of general interest and of course everything will be improved in the future.

The new interface should be available today.
