The App Store in iOS 6 could update your applications without entering a password

Many users have asked Apple to implement for the App Store an option to save account passwords, so that we don't have to re-enter them every time we install an application. Although this has not yet reached iOS, it seems that Apple is still taking a first step towards solving the problem cultfmac claims that updates made to applications from iOS 6 do not require re-entering the password in the App Store. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to update any application, so I can't confirm/inform the theory.

The change is found both in iOS 6 and in OS X Mountain Lion, so apparently we are talking about a function that will not be removed in the final version of these operating systems. The App Store will not remember your password when you download a new application, so in those cases you will have to re-enter it manually, but even so, I am glad that I will no longer have to write the password for every update.

UPDATE: I confirm that the App Store no longer asks for the password to install updates.
