MountainCenter brings the Notifications Center from OS X Mountain Lion directly to iPhone and iPad, it is available in Cydia

A few weeks ago I talked to you about MountainLionCenter, a tweak that implements the Notifications Center on the iPad tablet, which you should normally only find in OS X mountain Lion. More precisely, the tweak moves the Notifications Center from the central screen to its side and allows you to use it in a much more useful way. Well, that tweak is not the only one that implements this functionality on the iPad tablet because Mountain Center brings exactly the same thing, but with a few more options. More specifically, MountainCenter allows you to activate the Notifications Center in any part of the screen, allows activation with one finger, allows the display of banners on the entire screen of the iDevice, allows the keyboard to be disabled in the Notifications Center and finally allows the installation of the tweak even and on iPhone/iPod Touch.

MountainCenter is a brilliant addition to iOS, which adds the NotificationCenter experience from OS X Mountain Lion to your iDevice. With MountainCenter, the NotificationCenter is revealed with a customizable swipe from either side of the screen. As you swipe the contents of the screen will smoothly follow your fingers, revealing the Notification Center behind.

It features various settings, including:

  • Number of fingers required for swiping gesture
  • Which side of the screen should it appear from
  • Whether or not to stretch the banners out to full screen
  • The sensitivity of the drag gestures
  • Whether you want it disabled when the keyboard is visible

MountainCenter was released last night in Cydia, it only works on iOS 5.x and costs $2.99.
