Last evening, Google officially launched Nexus Q, a competitor to Apple TV that is more expensive than Apple's product, but is less useful. If the Apple TV costs only 99$/€, the Nexus Q from Google costs no less than 300$, even though it offers less functionality. Through the Apple TV of those from we can stream any kind of multimedia content, we can access an application interface through which we can watch content from iTunes, YouTube, our own content, etc., and most importantly, we can transpose the Mac/iDevice screen on a TV screen.

Apple offers a lot through a device of only $100, but those from Google offers users only the ability to play audio content from Android terminals or Google Play, but video content can only be played from Google Play or YouTube. The worst part of the Nexus Q is that the device does not have its own interface and without an Android terminal it cannot work because you have no way to control it. In general, the Nexus Q is just a method to watch movies from Google Play, but with enough functionality problems, and to listen to music from your terminals, but everything stops here.

From the point of view of design, the Nexus Q looks very good, but the very high price and the lack of functionality do not make it recommendable for purchase in front of an Apple TV.
