Spike – the case that turns your iPhone into a BlackBerry with the help of a physical keyboard

BlackBerry's QWERTY keyboard is still appreciated by many users and a team of engineers from the USA is trying to profit of this popularity to bring it to owners of iPhone terminals. In this idea, they developed the Spike case that allows you to add a physical keyboard to your iPhone in a completely new way. The case has that keyboard mounted directly in it, and you can attach it to your iPhone by simply mounting it in the case. Spike was designed to give users the opportunity to only protect the iPhone, but when users want to write something it can be turned and the physical keyboard can be mounted.

We have carefully engineered Spike, so in a flash, you can transition from typing to making or receiving a call, launching any of your apps, or playing Angry Birds, and then back to typing, all without missing a beat! Because we believe you should always have a choice, our initial suite consists of two versions, Spike¹ and Spike². Both versions incorporate our proprietary TypeSmart keyboard that has been carefully integrated into handsome iPhone protective cases. Of course, we will manufacture them using only premium materials that are suitable for an Apple accessory product.

What is interesting about these cases is related to the possibility of partially detaching the keyboard to be able to access the terminal screen and use applications. In the video clip above you have explained the functionality of the case and to be honest I think it is one of the most innovative cases designed so far. The developers of the project designed two models of cases, each with a special keyboard that is built using TypeSmart technology that allows users to quickly and easily type anything. For now the Spike case project has not been launched, but as soon as it becomes active I think it will quickly collect quite a lot of money.

What do you think about Spike? Would you buy such a case?
