Apple is wrong, it offers users promotional codes for Mountain Lion Server instead of the normal version

Yesterday many users who bought a Mac after June 11 asked Apple to give them a free copy of OS X Mountain Lion, but when they tried to use Apple's promotional codes, they found that they had already been used. The problem was with the system that automatically generates the codes for the new version of the operating system and it seems that in certain cases Apple offered codes for OS X Mountain Lion Server instead of the normal version. Many users encountered these problems, but Apple worked intensively to solve them and today a good part of the disaffected managed to download OS X Mountain Lion without problems.

I just got my second code and was able to redeem it. The only problem is when it redeemed it came up with an error saying OSX Server cannot be downloaded because it requires OSX 10.8.0 to run. It seems they sent me a redemption code for server instead of mountain lion. The pdf with the code clearly says that the code is for mountain lion...

My purchased tab only shows OSX Server – no mountain lion…

Apple doesn't make mistakes very often, but it does so at very important moments and unfortunately many users have been affected by problems.
