In its press release, Apple announces that this is the most popular version of OS X ever released, the sales figure being 3 times higher than the one recorded last year when OS X Lion was officially released. The popularity of the operating system is certainly due to the update price of only $20 and probably in the following days many more copies will be sold.
OS X Mountain Lion has no less than 200 new functions that we talked about in this article and it seems that they have already convinced 3 million Mac owners, about 2% of all Mac owners, to do the update.
