Last night the company Facebook launched version 5.0 of the application in the App Store after months in which millions of users complained that the experience of using it is terrible. Those from Facebook completely rewrote the application in the Objective-C programming language and not in the initial HTML 5, and this makes it almost 2 times faster than the initial version. The speed is noticeable when opening the application, when scrolling and when loading images, but reading elements from the Feed or notifications will be just as "difficult", but the initial blockages have disappeared.
In my case, the application turned out to be much better than the initial version and I'm glad to see that a company with billions of dollars in the bank finally found the time to develop an application worthy of use. I am satisfied with the Facebook application, but I am curious to know what experience you had with it.

I like how it's going, however I miss the gesture of shrinking the image to close it on the iPad, now you have to give [Done]. Otherwise, it's really well made..

It works very well on iPad3 and 4s. It doesn't even compare to previous versions. I had big problems loading the images and I kept thinking it was from the net. But now I see that it was from the application

Now it's really ok, I don't pull hair out of my head anymore. Certain functions are missing (at least I didn't find them) that are on the PC...but it is possible without them...and we are waiting for future updates!
Apart from the fact that the notifications don't work anymore, it's ok. The notifications are no longer in the notification center, they are directly in the application. Although they are all active, they don't work for me...

It's strange because it does the same on 4s and iPad2. I uninstalled and reinstalled the application and nothing changed.
