WhatsApp Messenger, the most popular application in App Store Romania for text messaging, was updated last evening, its developers implementing some interesting news. To begin with, I will tell you that your messages will now be encrypted inside the application, so you don't have to worry that a hacker can steal the message database from your terminals. In the background is the automatic loading of images, the display of the names of the participants in a group discussion in push notifications, plus:
- encryption: your messages are now fully encrypted when traveling over Wi-Fi or mobile network!
- show push names in group chats for unknown numbers
- better message forwarding picker (show groups, recents, contacts)
- spinning indicator changed to gray clock to match other platforms
- image auto-download
- updated Korean, Chinese and many other translations
WhatsApp Messenger is available in the App Store for €0.79, but it only works on the iPhone.
