iControlPad 2 – an interesting gamepad for iDevices (Video)

iControlPad is a gamepad launched more than a year ago for mobile terminals, proving to be a real success among those who wanted more from their smartphone. Because the product was so good, its producers are now trying to finance a second version of it, a version that aims to offer more functionality and better compatibility with the games available now, but also in the future. Compared to the previous version, the new one promises to be compatible even with the applications that could not use it, the software designed by the producers allowing users to redo the configuration of the buttons for each game.

  • Fully user programmable microcontroller, running open-source software
  • 55 key keyboard – Shoulder buttons - Twin analogue nubs – High-quality Dpad
  • New swivel clamp for easier phone handling
  • Works as a standard HID (keyboard, joystick, iCade etc) for anything with either bluetooth or USB connections
  • Lasts for 14 hours of active use on a single charge
  • Working prototypes finished, ready for mass production now

iControlPad 2 promises to be an extremely interesting product and if it gets the funding, then it will offer an option worth considering for those who want to play directly from their own devices, but with console hardware.
