If you have purchased one iPhone 5 or intend to buy one, then you need a nano SIM card, or you have the option of cutting your old sim to insert it into the SIM drawer of the new iPhone. If you are a subscriber of Orange Romania and live in Bucharest, then you have the option of going to the Orange Shops in the city to look for such an adapter, but you have no guarantee that you will receive it. Some shops offer nano SIMs, others don't, you just have to look for the right one.
When the terminal will be officially available in Romania, these cards will be offered free of charge by the operator when purchasing the iPhone 5, or you will have the option to exchange the old SIM with this one.
UPDATE: Orange has announced that these nano SIMs are available in its shops, so you should be able to get one without any problems.
Well, I called Orange and they are in the tree and the tree is in the air ………… no one knows anything!!!
This is because there are few and they are not given officially.
I also called Orange and asked them when pre-orders for the iPhone 5 can be made and they don't know anything.
It means they are idiots, on Twitter they wrote like this:
"@orange_helper: Now in the Orange shop you have the new nanoSIM, so you can enjoy all the functions of the amazing iPhone5."
The chip size of the nano sim is identical to that of the micro sim
@Zaone did you try to cut your nano sim with scissors? if so, I advise you to use a new cutter and a nail file...it turns out much better 🙂
Why cut the nano sim? I tried to take out the SIM in the USA with a knife but I got damaged, anyway it wouldn't have helped me much there.
It is very easy to cut with scissors, and it hardly needs to be thinned out....
@zaone I plan to get my iPhone 5 as soon as it appears at Orange Romania. Do you have any idea if they give me the nano sim on the spot? Or do I have to wait a week?!
When does it appear on orange iphone 5?
@Deleteplz: They have to give it to you on the spot.
@Zaone if I go to Timisoara can I change it?
I read now that there are hopes that we will soon have LTE/4g in Romania, starting with the urban environment. What do you think about this?
I work at the orange store and I received the cards on Friday without giving any order. They sent me automatically.
@andrew: how much does it cost in the orange store to change the card with a nanosim one?
at abo it's free
for prepaid, only the orange shop changes
Andrew……can you help me buy a nano sim or nanoUSIM?…I am not in Brasov! please let me know

Why are you stressing so much about nano sims? It is extremely easy to cut (he even posted a guide) and the thickness is not relevant. In 5 minutes I turned the micro sim into a nano sim that works perfectly in the iPhone 5. I just didn't want to sit and look at the phone until all the employees from Orange woke up.
@Jo: Why bother with a cut SIM, when you can get a perfect one from the store and not worry about it.
The information was for those who are desperate because they can't get their hands on a nano sim 🙂
Considering that the nearest Orange Shop is 40 km from me, it is much more convenient for me to cut the sim I have than to waste an hour or so and, quite possibly, return without a nano sim for that the employee I spoke with was looking at me as if I spoke Chinese.
Is the iphone 5 recently brought from Spain decoded?!?

FOR THURSDAY…. Desperate are you and who taught you to talk like that...truly what you are! do you stay in the country, boy? as if you have an Orange Shop 40 km away?... when you move to the city to talk! guys know... so for a walk...

[…] for one thing, you can go see if there is someone in your city available to offer it to you. Orange has been distributing them for a week, and at Cosmote I don't know what's happening for now because there is no information from them about [...]
Hello, I have a question, I bought an iPhone 5 from Germany on Vodafone subscription, does it also work on Vodafone Romania?
