iPhone 5, Romania, 4G LTE networks and a purchase problem

For those who still don't know, Apple launched 3 different models of the terminal iPhone 5, each of them being compatible with a certain series of network frequencies LTE 4G. One model is compatible with 4G LTE GSM networks in the USA, Canada and so on; another model is compatible with 4G LTE CDMA networks in the US and maybe other networks around the world; and the third model is compatible with 4G LTE GSM networks in certain European and Asian countries. When I went to the USA I took one iPhone 5 because it is cheaper than in Romania and because we had in mind the fact that in our country mobile phone operators will not launch 4G LTE networks until 2014, but yesterday things changed.

Orange Romania announced that this year it will launch a 4G LTE network in Romania and it should theoretically be compatible with iPhone 5. Considering that I have a terminal incompatible with 4G LTE networks in Europe, it is clear that I will not be able to use it with this Romanian network, but I cannot say that this bothers me. I don't know what the prices of 4G LTE subscriptions will be, I don't think they will be cheap with any operator, but I could live a year without 4G LTE because the HSDPA+ network has extremely good speeds and in this article we showed you how fast the iPhone 5 is on them.

For me there is no problem from this point of view, but maybe for you there is, maybe some of you want to use 4G LTE networks. In this case, do not buy an iPhone 5 from the USA or Canada, and if you buy it from someone who brought it from abroad, make sure that the code is written on the box A1429 GSM, because it is the only one compatible with 4G LTE networks on the frequency of 1800 MHz. This model will be sold in Romania, this model is sold in Europe, do not choose another if you want 4G LTE because you will not be able to use the network.

In the end, the low price and good speeds on the DC-HSDPA network of up to 43 Mbits won me when I chose to buy an iPhone 5, but if the price doesn't matter to you and compatibility with 4G LTE networks matters, then buy an iPhone 5 from Europe or wait for the operators to launch it officially. In Romania, it is hoped that the iPhone 5 will arrive in October, but so far we have found out that there is no delivery/launch date confirmed by Apple for our country.
