If you ever wanted to be able to control a iPhone or a tablet iPad using a mouse or a trackpad, well I'm letting you know now that BTC Mouse & Trackpad allows you to do this. The tweak will be released in the near future in Cydia, will be compatible with all peripherals supported by iOS, that is, you will be able to connect a keyboard, a mouse or a trackpad to the iDevice, but only via Bluetooth. After you connect a mouse, you will also see a cursor on the screen with which you can perform the same functions that you could normally perform using only your fingers, and with a keyboard you will be able to write texts on your iDevices much more easily. The functionality does not stop here, because using the mouse wheel you can zoom in/out and scroll through some applications, so you have almost complete functionality from the device. The right button of the mouse works like the Home Button, but you must be careful not to press it when it is not necessary.

  • Left button
    • Performs a tap
  • Right button
    • Performs the function of the home button
  • Middle button
    • Switches vertical movements to zoom in and zoom out
  • Scroll wheel
    • Pages through the home screen and perform zooming function in applications

In the video clip above you can see the functionality of the tweak, for now it does not allow the use of gestures in iOS, but support for such a thing will be available soon. To be honest, this tweak turns an iPad tablet into a laptop because you will be able to use the mouse to act anything on the screen, you will be able to use a keyboard to write anything, and replacing a laptop with a tablet equipped with this tweak becomes much simpler. Applications for remote computer management will become much easier to use, and as the tweak evolves, we will be able to take more actions in iOS.

BTC Mouse & Trackpad will be available in Cydia in the near future, it will cost $5, but if you own BTstack Keyboard you will only pay half price for it. Although I haven't tested it yet, this tweak seems to be the tweak of 2012.
