SifleStand hides the NewsStand application without jailbreak, it is available for Windows and OS X

I told you two days ago that a program called StifleStand will be available for Windows and Mac OS X, and with its help we will be able to hide the NewsStand application from our iDevices. Well, now StifleStand is available for both operating systems, you can download it for free, and it works exactly as its developer says. The NewsStand application is automatically included in a folder after using this tweak, you can move the folder anywhere in iOS and thus you got rid of the application that was permanently in your Springboard.

  To use StifleStand you must:

  • Download the program available here. For Windows you have the link here.
  • Open it, Run as Administrator in Windows, and connect your iDevice to the computer.
  • Press the button Hide NewsStand and in Springboard you will see the application moved to a named folder Magic.

StifleStand is extremely easy to use, the NewsStand application is hidden in the previously mentioned folder, it does not repair Springboard when resetting the terminal, but in the event that you reset the Springboard layout, or start rearranging icons through iTunes, s - you might see it again in Springboard. It doesn't matter what iOS you have, StifleStand is compatible with iOS 5 – 6. If you access the NewsStand icon from that folder, the terminal will respring, so hiding the icon makes the whole service useless.
