Google announces the biggest update for the Street View module

Today the people from Google announced the launch of the biggest and most important update for the Street View module, the company updating 250.000 miles of roads and doubling the number of images available in special collections. Apart from the roads we all know, Google has implemented images of special locations around the globe, many monuments are now present in the module of its map system. If you have never been through the most famous locations on the globe, Google offers you the opportunity to see them from your computer screen or mobile terminal, and among the new important locations added by Google are: Catherine Palace in Russia, Stanley Park in Vancouver or Fort Canning Park in Singapore.

Today we're making our Street View coverage more comprehensive than ever before by launching our biggest ever update–doubling our number of special collections and updating over 250,000 miles of roads around the world. We're increasing Street View coverage in Macau, Singapore, Sweden, the US, Thailand, Taiwan, Italy, Great Britain, Denmark, Norway and Canada. And we're launching special collections in South Africa, Japan, Spain, France, Brazil and Mexico, among others.

Google did not say anything about Romania in its update, probably the roads in our country were updated and possibly completed, but you know that you should not expect too much. Google Street View is accessible from a computer using Google Earth or by accessing the desktop version of Google Maps, and if you have a mobile terminal, then the mobile version of Google Maps allows you to access the system.
