HiLO Lens is a project of kickstarter which promises to offer us a lens with which we can take pictures in a new way. The lens is mounted on our iDevice and with its help we can, in theory, take much better pictures from angles that until now were inaccessible to those who wanted to take perfect pictures. The idea itself is interesting, it allows you to look at the screen while taking pictures from certain angles, something that until now was impossible, so if you wanted to capture something interesting in those pictures.
HiLO Lens is the first right angle lens for the iPhone4/4S/5 & iPad2/3. With HiLO Lens you'll create more memorable photos. HiLO Lens is full of custom designed optics, made with three lenses and a prism. The optics keep HiLO Lens tiny and capture the full field of view (FOV) of the iPhone room. The optics in HiLO Lens are more sophisticated than any other lens available for the iPhone. Optics are always a compromise and we want to keep HiLO Lens affordable. To give you an idea, the aluminum container housing the optics is machined to tolerances of 0.01mm – that's 1/10th the thickness of a strand of hair!

HiLO Lens is still far from being fully funded through the kickstarter, but in the next month it could raise the amount it needs to reach the market.
