iOS Updater is required to do OTA Update to iOS 6.0.1 on iPhone 5

Apple launched this evening iOS 6.0.1, but together with it comes another application called iOS Updater, it being installed only on the terminals iPhone 5 and being necessary to update OTA. When you access the menu software Update of the Settings application you will see the update available and when you try to access it you will notice that Apple will ask for permission to install iOS Updater, an application without which you cannot do an OTA Update for iPhone 5.

After installing the application, the update for iOS is automatically downloaded, then the terminal installs it by itself without asking you anything or doing any other procedure. Apple does not explain why it is necessary to install this application, accessing it redirects us to the Software Update menu of iOS and I assume that this is a new method to counterattack the jailbreak. The application disappears automatically after performing the OTA Update.
