Ymens Teamnet will use IBM Smartcloud for the services offered to SMEs in Romania

Last month I told you that a Romanian company launched the Ymens service through which any SME can ease their workload using the cloud and a series of applications specially designed for this type of business. From then until now Ymens developed, and yesterday the company behind the service announced the beginning of a partnership with those from IBM. Practically the entire Ymens infrastructure will work from now on through the IBM SmartCloud infrastructure, a cloud service located in the most modern data center in South-Eastern Europe.

Ymens Teamnet, the Romanian cloud company announced today that it will use the IBM SmartCloud infrastructure through the IBM Managed Data Center in Bucharest to offer services to small and medium-sized companies (SMEs) at the highest standards. An affordable technology platform, Ymens Teamnet's cloud services have been developed according to local business requirements and offer multiple functionalities traditionally available only within large corporations. In an effort to build its cloud service offering on a robust IT infrastructure, Ymens selected IBM's Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), which provides anytime, anywhere service availability with premium standards of security from the Data Center operated by IBM in Romania.

What does this mean? Well, first of all, there is a guaranteed uptime of 99%, secondly, there is a much better developed infrastructure than the previous one, and thirdly, we are talking about a degree of security aligned with the highest international standards. Those at IBM boast that their data center is one of the most secure in the world, and the infrastructure built around it allows them to scale the work flow so that clients can enjoy high performance regardless of how many users are connected simultaneously and how many applications are used.

Those from Ymens aim to have between 2013 - 5.000 SMEs subscribed to their services and approximately 10.000 active users by the end of 100.000, and based on the current start, I think they have a high chance of success. In this article, I have presented all the details regarding the subscriptions and the functionality offered by Ymens, and if you have an SME, you should explore the options regarding moving the workload from files "to the clouds". The press release of the event you can find it here.
