A Canadian operator updates its invoicing system, issues invoices of hundreds of thousands of dollars to customers

Canadian operator Sasktel. recently updated its invoicing system and through a published announcement on its own website, it informs its customers that they could receive invoices of $100.000 in the next period. The operator activates its network LTE 4G and the changes will affect 9000 customers for whom internet traffic will be billed at US prices, their bills being able to show payment amounts between a few cents and $100.000.

The error affects approximately 9000 wireless customers in the November 23rd and 29th billing periods. Affected customers will receive a bill that may incorrectly rate their Saskatchewan data at US data rates. The charges may range from a few cents to $100,000. SaskTel is working on automatically issuing credits to those customer's accounts with incorrect data charges.

I don't know how the residents of Canada view the amount of $100.000, but if someone in Romania received an invoice of this kind, they would probably faint on the spot, especially since in our country it is difficult to reach an agreement with the operators regarding the correct costs for internet.
