Thus, customers can choose a Colibri 15, Colibri 25, Colibri 25 Special or Colibri 35 subscription for two years and receive unlimited traffic at 4G speeds for 6 months. When leaving the 4G coverage area, Orange customers connect to the 3G/H+ data network using the data traffic associated with each subscription. In the first phase, 4G mobile internet will be available on modems and tablets, soon to be available on phones. To connect to the 4G network, Orange offers its customers the Huawei E392 4G modem with prices starting from 0 euros and the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 4G tablet from 309 euros together with subscriptions that provide access to the 4G data service.

Also, Orange customers have access to 3G services with speeds of up to 14,4 Mbps nationwide, 3G+ services with speeds of up to 21,6 Mbps are available in over 13.000 locations, while the H+ network with speeds of up to 43,2 Mbps covers 331 localities, including 18 large cities: Arad, Baia Mare, Brașov, Bucharest, Câmpia Turzii, Cluj, Codlea, Constanța, Iași, Mangalia, Oradea, Satu Mare, Săcele, Sibiu, Târgu Mureș, Timisoara, Tulcea and Zalău.

"4G is the technology of the future, providing superior quality multimedia services on mobiles, tablets and PCs. Our strategy is to provide our customers with the best mobile internet experience and to be with them in the digital age. An important step was to invest massively in the mobile data network in the last year, followed today by the launch of 4G, a service that we will develop in the future", said Jean-François Fallacher, CEO of Orange Romania.

During 2013, Orange will develop the 4G mobile internet service, and from April 2014, when the dedicated frequency spectrum for 4G services will be available, it will offer its customers the opportunity to discover the maximum potential of this technology.

4G technology represents an evolution in mobile data that will open up new opportunities in application development due to lower latency and increased speeds. In addition, from now on, Orange customers will be able to surf the Internet faster, download applications, music, play online, stream video or upload large files with even greater speed and ease.

The Orange 4G mobile internet service is commercially available in the mentioned coverage area and can be tested in Orange stores in Bucharest: Băneasa Shopping City, Universitate, Europe House-Piata Victoriei, Calea Moșilor, Iride, as well as in the Orange store on Mureșenilor street from Brasov.
