Google and Motorola are developing a competing smartphone for iPhone 5 and Samsung terminals

Google acquired Motorola mainly for its patent portfolio, but now it is also starting to use the division that produces smartphones, the companies working at the moment to the development of a terminal to compete with iPhone 5 and Samsung terminals. The terminal should stand out on the smartphone market probably thanks to an interesting design and some functions that are superior or at least more useful than those available in the rest of the mobile terminals on the market.

But while Google is known for swift execution on the Web, its new hardware unit has run into obstacles associated with manufacturing and supply-chain management that have caused the company to rethink some initial plans for the X phone, these people added. Meanwhile, Google must manage complex relationships with smartphone makers that use its Android mobile-device software—particularly with Samsung Electronics Co., a Motorola rival that has become the No. 1 smartphone maker with Google's help.

The project from Google/Motorola is called X Phone and among the possible wonderful features of the smartphone developed by them are: foldable screens, the use of ceramics, and the use of gesture recognition software. Basically, Google is now investing a significant amount of money in the development of this smartphone, a tablet will be available after it, but we will see how successful the products will be only after they are presented.
