In December Rovio was over 263 million active users in the applications launched in many application stores around the world, the figure being apparently higher than the number of active users of the microblogging network Twitter. Those from Rovio set records after records with their own applications that have been downloaded more than 1 billion times on all the platforms on which they are available, so it is as logical as possible that a quarter of users use the applications monthly.
2012 was a milestone year for us: More than 1 billion downloads (30 million during Christmas week alone), and we had more than a quarter billion monthly active users in December! Many many thanks to all of our fans for making 2012 our best year ever!
Along with this announcement, Rovio has reduced the price of the Bad Piggies HD application from €2.79 to just €0.89.
