2 million Apple TVs were sold in Q1 2013, Apple is not worried about the decline in Mac sales

Apple TVwas presented by Apple as a hobby, but in the last year the sales of this product have increased extremely much, and in Q1 2013 2 million units were sold by Apple. Cook said that the Apple TV has gone from the status of a hobby, to the status of a product that shows great interest, and despite the rumors regarding the launch of a TV designed in Cupertino, the CEO of Apple claims that for now the company is analyzing all the possibilities regarding the development of Apple the TV.

I tend to believe that there is a lot we can contribute in this space, and we continue to pull the string and see where it leads us. I don't want to be more specific.

Separately from Apple TV, Tim Cook said last night that he is not worried about the fact that the iPhone and the iPad tablet affect the sales of iPods/Macs. In the last year, sales of iPods have decreased constantly, sales of Macs decreased in Q1 2013, and Cook claims that the problems with the manufacture of iMacs were at the basis of this decrease. It was normal for iDevices to seriously affect iPod/Mac sales, it was normal for Apple not to be worried and we can expect continuous declines, at least in the case of iPods.

We know the iPhone has cannibalized some iPod business, that doesn't worry us. The iPad will cannibalize the Mac. It doesn't worry us.
