Using GPS on a mobile terminal substantially reduces battery life, but using it yesterday iGo Primo pe iPhone 5, I noticed that in one hour 46% of the energy available in the battery disappeared, something that does not normally happen a few months ago. In the meantime, I switched from iOS 6.0 to iOS 6.1 and I jailbroken with evasi0n, I use the exact same application, Location Services has only activated Cell Network Search, and yet after a little over an hour of using iGo Primo, 46% of my battery disappeared.
In practice, I would get almost 3 hours of usage from one iPhone 5 if I were to use iGo Primo constantly and to be honest, it seems to me that somewhere something is not working correctly, the autonomy being extremely low in these conditions. Did you have problems with the autonomy of the battery while using the GPS?
