Jony Ive is decorated with the Blue Peter Badge, he shows us the interior of his laboratory on the Apple campus (Video)

Jony Ive is Apple's SVP who deals with the design development of the company's future products, but also with the development of the entire iOS, and recently he received Blue Peter Badge, a distinction awarded by the BBC in Great Britain. Although the distinction itself is not of great importance to us, what is seen in the video is very important, that is, the laboratory where he creates the aluminum casings for Apple products. The machines in the video clip above are only used to manufacture prototypes of future Apple products, but unfortunately the tour is short but important, as Ive's lab is one of Apple's best-kept secrets.

London-born Sir Jonathan is Senior Vice President of Industrial Design for Apple and a lifelong Blue Peter fan. When interviewed by presenter Barney Harwood he vividly remembers the makes from the show, and loved that they reused products that you thought were no longer useful. In the special episode, Sir Jonathan reviews several product designs sent in by Blue Peter viewers through a series of video messages from the children behind the designs. On receiving his gold badge, he called the honor "absolutely incredible". As a mark of honor for the programme, Sir Jonathan and his team made 'something very special', a unique Blue Peter badge crafted from solid aluminum through a 10-hour process, and presented it to Barney in true Blue Peter style saying, " Here's one that we made earlier."
